Board And Train
Board And Train Services: Our comprehensive program teaches and trains both dogs AND their owners! Dogs reside in our comfortable kennels for 3 weeks. During this time they are schooled 3-4 times a day, with 2 additional play sessions to relax. Dogs will learn all basic commands on leash, with an emphasis on manners. (I.E. no biting, chewing, jumping up, etc.)Covered are heel, loose lead walk, sit, sit/stay, down, down/stay, come when called and a place command. Dogs in behavioral rehabilitation will receive these commands also, in addition to problem specific training. Basic agility and beneficial games are introduced as well. Off leash control is introduced. Owners visit at the end of each week for a private lesson and a chance to interact with their dog. Owners receive basic handling skills, an overview of dog psychology and follow up information. After week three, its time to go home. Owners have another lesson when they pick up their dog. 2 additional lessons are given at 10 and 21 days after the dog goes home, for a total of 5 private lessons. This is a very comprehensive approach and allows owners to be actively involved in the process of learning with their dog. Only Bluegrass Canine offers this program, and it allows us to reach success with both dogs and owners.

In Home Training
In home training and behavioral consultation is offered in the Nashville area, on a VERY limited basis. This is usually combined with behavioral rehabilitation. Call for an initial consultation. If needed, dogs can be brought to the kennel for additional rehabilitation and training after the in home consultation phase.

Behavioral Rehabilitation
Rehabiliation services are available for any problem behaviors. Aggression issues of all kinds, anxiety, destructive behaviors, and many others have been successfully rehabilitated. We have successfully rehabilitated dogs with long term problem behaviors.

Private Obedience Lessons
Private obedience lessons are available at Bluegrass Canine Dog Training Center in Franklin, KY on a limited basis. We are able to schedule to fit your busy lifestyle! Taught at the kennel where we have a large fenced training yard with agility equipment. There is very limited availability for these lessons.

Puppy Training
Bluegrass Canine offers puppy basics at any time. This one session 1.5 hour class starts you and your pup off right. Topics covered are dog psychology, leadership, proper nutrition, feeding, housebreaking, playbiting, proper toys and an introduction to simple commands. Recommended for puppies up to 12 weeks. Puppies over 16 weeks are able to be enrolled in our board and train program.

Housebreaking
Bluegrass Canine can help!! We offer board and train services to puppies 20 weeks and over, with an emphasis on housebreaking. Both crate and non-crate based training is available. Basic housebreaking is covered in puppy training classes for younger pups.

Search & Rescue
Bluegrass Canine can assist owners in evaluating their dogs suitability for search and rescue work. After basic obedience training, we can assist owners in contacting various search and rescue groups for further training opportunities.

Boarding
Limited boarding is available for clients only. Dogs are schooled 3-4 times a day with 2 additional play sessions. On a space available basis. Get your reservations in early for any holidays!
